Dutch filmmaker Tim Metz, working with the UK charity organization Out of Afrika has embarked on a documentary project He is spending six months living in Kenya, making a documentary about a parts of the African continent. Most non-Africans think of Africa as The Dark Continent, a land of famine war, and poverty. Tim aims to show a the continent, or at least Kenya as a land possessing as much beauty as it has problems; having as much great human stories as it has human tragedy; sharing the lives of the rich and the poor.

Currently, there are nine excellent video reports available to stream. A tenth report is due in mid June, 2006. Sitesurfers may do so via high or low bandwidth Windows Media Player.

This video podcast is a fantastic introduction to a different Africa than that usually portrayed by the media, and is very well crafted and entertaining. Highly recommended. InsideAfrica rates a .com Dish! “E” for everybody.
