Are you inspired by Mark Cuban? Or do you hate his guts? If so, either way, then surf on over to BlogMaverick.com and see what you’re missing.Mark Cuban is the entrepreneur/owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. Mark Cuban is known in basketball circles for being innovative, brash and effective. It’s the same style he created for himself in the technology world. It’s the same style he brings to BlogMaverick. If nothing else, Mark Cuban is consistent.
He’s also consistently interesting. to BlogMaverick is more than one ball club owner’s rant rag about all things NBA. It is also his intellectual bully pulpit. In a recent edition, Cuban waxed philosophic on such subjects as counterterrorism strategies against “splogs”, automated weblog aggregators, the benefits of pre-loading music on new computer hard drives, and the coming Golden Age of Television (from an advertiser’s point of view). Regardless of your personal stance on Cuban’s positions, I think you would agree that Mark Cuban reads, and thinks, about a lot of things.
Reflections on technology and society may not be the average sports fan’s bottle of beer. That’s okay. There are plenty of other attractions on this site. One, a standard and prominent feature of to BlogMaverick is Cuban’s running feud with TNT basketball analysts Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley. It makes for interesting copy and grist at the gossip mill, over by yonder water cooler.
The site also features The NBA Does It Again, advocating Cuban’s stance on perceived airballs heaved by the league office. I also recommend Success and Motivation Redux, the re-publication of a motivational editorial series Cuban wrote way back in 2004. In it, he takes moments from his life and careers to create inspirational teaching moments. Classic rags to riches fare, but with an innovative Mark Cuban twist.
Finally, the .com Dish! gives BlogMaverick a cautious “T”, appropriate for teens and older.
