Admittedly, if you know Dino Don, you are probably a kid, or you have kids. And that is totally okay with him. Dino Don Lessum lives to expose children to the amazing world of dinosaurs. Why? Because he believes that dinosaur exploration can help spark scientific education in children. DinoDon.com is a big part of that mission.
DinoDon is a simple site to surf. Large type font and clean design make it easy to read by young children and grandparents alike. Cute animation and lack of clutter also help the young and old enjoy. Children’s website content creators could definitely take a page from the DinoDon style guide. Too much clutter agitates the young mind and often too, the brain of the caretaker supervising their young charge’s website surfing. DinoDon keeps it clean and clutter-free.
Clutter-free does not mean sparse though. Dino Dictionary, Cool Facts, and Dinosaur Videos just to name a few, are all surfable areas on DinoDon. There are currently six dinosaur videos available for streaming. Although the site states that Windows Media Player is required, I successfully streamed the videos using Real Media Player.
