Want to give the Mother of All Theme Parties? Well surf on over to GenghisKhanExhibits and see what you’re missing. This website is the marketing organ for the “Genghis Khan, Treasures of the Greatest Conqueror” traveling exhibition.
So what does any of this have to do with giving the Mother of All Theme Parties? According to the website, an exclusive agreement has been reached between Dino Don, Inc. and eight Chinese and Mongolian museums “to display up to 80% of the world’s known artifacts of the Khan empire.”For the right price, the entire “Treasures of the Greatest Conqueror” exhibition will come to you. All you need is six to ten thousand square feet of open space. Is that cool or what? Of course you will need the money to pay for it.
Genghis Khan is widely considered to be the greatest conqueror in human history. He was born the son of a 13th Century tribal chieftain. From the age of 13 until his death sometime in his seventies, Genghis Khan waged a continuous string of wars and battles. The result? An empire that stretched from the Pacific Ocean west into central Europe. That makes Genghis Khan numero uno on the Top Ten List of Individuals Who Have Conquered Large Tracts of Land. Yep. He is even bigger than Donald Trump. This is one massive, fortune-amassing motha’–shut your mouth! I’m just talkin’ ’bout Khan, Genghis Khan!
You may be asking yourself, “Self, what about the special atmospheric conditions required by many museum exhibits these days?” Well fear not. No special atmospheric conditions required. Any interior exhibition will necessitate a minimum ceiling height of 13 feet, though. Still not convinced? How about this? Six to eight Inner Mongolian curators travel to each venue to supervise installation. So how much is the price of admission? Well, if you have to ask…
“But what if you ain’t Bill Gates, The Donald or Oprah Winfrey? Then you, my friend, can surf the many artifacts displayed on GenghisKhanExhibits for free. I suggest you surf slowly. Or you can contact your local municipal art museum and beg them to sponsor this exhibit. This stuff is incredible.
To summarize–
GenghisKhanExhibits is great if you are an educator looking for great historical/art content from the Khan period. Or really wealthy and want to show off the biggest, most unusual theme party on your block. Fun to play on, but more fun could have been had. I really wanted them to stream the six-minute video teased on the website. This site is not just for museums. It’s also for the kids. The kids. Multiple languages offered would certainly help the kids.
Finally, GenghisKhanExhibits rates a .com Dish! “E”, for everybody.
