William Paley gave us network television with CBS. Ted Turner gave us cable television with CNN. Now, ManiaTV.com wants to give us the world’s first Internet-based television network.The hook for this broadband channel is that it’s one part on-demand video content and one part live Internet television. Just like an actual television network, Mania TV produces a full slate of 14 shows that air daily or weekly. Mania TV has an additional 46 on-demand channels spanning 25 categories for your viewing entertainment while you wait for your favorite live show to stream. Those categories include action sports, animation and short films, and celebrity talk shows.
Speaking of celebrities, Mania TV scored a major Generation Next coup signing former MTV star, and ex Mr. Drew Barrymore, Tom Green to produce and host a nightly, live talk show.
Another Mania TV feature allows site surfers to create build their own channel for public consumption. Speaking of which, Mania TV runs on Windows Media Player and is free.
