In a Bold Move, The Ford Motor Co. has teamed with JWT, Radical Media and GMD Studios to create a stunning videoblogging project. Launched June 29th, www.FordBoldMoves.com is designed to give car fans and site surfers alike the “inside look” at “the people, the products and the tough choices Ford Motor Co. must make everyday to stay competitive.” It’s touted as a no-holds-barred take on what it takes for this behemoth of a corporation to tighten up, straighten up and drive right.
Bold Moves contains two major video sites and two major feedback sites. Transforming the Business and Inspiring Imagination. Transforming the Business is where site surfers can view videos giving a behind-the-scenes look at how Ford intends to remake itself to compete in the global marketplace. Updates will occur periodically, and we can expect to see some real heat in the boardrooms.
Inspiring Imagination lists four vids in its table of contents: Commitment to Design, The Legend of Carroll Shelby, The Build and Meet the Press. Plan on more vids posting soon.
Bold Moves is slick, vulnerable, robust and compelling. Let’s all hope Ford’s automotive lineup can match the effort put into its broadband website. Oh wait. It can’t.
