So what do you get? Four live CNN feeds, one on-demand channel and the ability to browse CNN headline stories. The live feeds vary from actual CNN reporting packages to simple, location live shots. There is no web-exclusive content. So the only two distinguishing features from CNN free video are no commercials and archive access.
The proprietary, downloadable, Pipeline premium media player is quite robust. I slewed it around my desktop and the picture quality remained stable and intact. Often picture loss during desktop player placement is endemic with other media players. Hyper speed surfing between stories does not lock up the player either. An additional feature of the player is “mini-mode”. Mini mode shrinks the entire player by 2/3 without sacrificing utility. Perfect for multitasking. And for keeping from the prying eyes of your workplace supervisor.
