Saying Divefilm “is a website dedicated to showcasing underwater video” is a little like saying a brick is trying to be Jupiter. The treasure trove of undersea flora and fauna footage is so far removed from the ordinary video seen on the Internet that it might just cause a lesser mind to explode inside one’s skull. Okay, perhaps even a greater mind might explode too. If you don’t believe me, just eyeball “Swimming with Sea Lions”. Oh, and make sure the volume is turned “on”, too.
DiveFilm’s focus is to present underwater short films from filmmakers around the world. Their intent is to encourage and promote a creative approach to underwater imaging, taking into consideration the unique aspects of the venue and technology involved. Fair enough. I say their intent is to blow people’s minds. Mission accomplished–in QuickTime and iTunes, too.
Phenomenal educational material here so I give it the ol’ .com Dish! site surfin’ “E” for everybody needs to get their RDA of Divefilm.
