Perhaps the biggest boost to its fledgling career came when podcast website Sex is Fun! was banned from popular podcast directory website iTunes. Now, that notoriety will surely enhance traffic to its site.Sex is Fun! is not for everybody. It’s a site dedicated to the rational discussion of human sexuality from the apporoach of fun, enjoyment and pleasure. Sex is Fun! is produced by human sexuality guru Kidder Kaper, bisexual co-host Lorax, and their sound engineer, Coochie.
Sex is Fun! features areas dedicated to sex games, education, the podcast and blog, as well as a forum for the discussion of all aspects of sexuality. Each episode features a different topic that will discuss how to maximize sexual enjoyment while avoiding all the dangers of sex.
This site represents both what’s great about the Internet and what’s dangerous about it, too. Here’s why. According to the website, “The Sexploration team firmly believes in the dissemination and discussion of all matters relating to sex in a civilized, adult manner. Sex is no different than any other subject, save its taboo status.” It’s true that sex is no different than any other subject, but some subjects require some context to fully grasp them. The subject of sex is one of those that needs context. It is rife with cultural baggage. Surfing Sex is Fun outside of the proper context is like teaching someone a little bit of kung fu–somebody could get hurt.
The important thing to remember is these folks seem to mean well. The site is chock full of good information to discuss with your teenage and older children, or with your partner. Nevertheless, Sex is Fun rates a .com Dish! “M” for mature themes, nudity and masturbation.
Sex is Fun streams for free via QuickTime or by podcast subscription.
