Middle Schoolers Honor War Veterans

The Gresham Veterans Archive is a student project which allows local Knoxville, TN military veterans to share their stories. This is a joint project of the Gresham Middle School Social Studies department and the school’s Technology Coordinators.

Gresham Middle School is one of the oldest schools in Knox County, Tennessee. As such they feel very strong ties to their past. This archive is one way the school honors family and community members for their service. It is a place for local heroes to share their experiences with our students, and with site surfers.

This is a pleasant place to park one’s mouse. After all, Tom Hanks made it most clear during his campaign for a WWII memorial in Washington, D.C. when he said we’re losing about one hero per day. Now is the time to hear their stories.

That’s why The Gresham Middle School Archives gets a .com Dish! “E” for everybody. Free to stream in QuickTime or via podcast at iTunes.
