Crista Flanagan is a riot. Actually, it’s her character Hope, an angst-ridden teen, who is sooooooo emo(tional) and is sooooo annoying who is the riot. I may not know much, but I do know this–that girl got issues!Look, I’m well beyond teenage-hood, and to my knowledge, I was never a girl, so I can’t quite imagine what Hope feels. But I can watch and learn. That is my advice to you, site surfers–watch Hope Is Emo–and learn. This truly is a funny podcast about a sad girl.
If you like the comic strip “Cathy” you’ll like Hope. If you find the comic strip “Cathy” repulsive yet strangely compelling, then you won’t be able to tear yourself away from the current seven Hope Is Emo webisodes. If you’ve never seen the comic strip “Cathy” and wonder what the heck I’m writing, disregard the above, but still surf on over to HopeIsEmo.com and see what you’re missing.
It’s worth all the hand wringing and the heart wrenching.
