Last.fm is the flagship product from the team that designed the Audioscrobbler music engine. Last.fm claims to tap into “the wisdom of the crowds, leveraging each user’s musical profile to make personalised recommendations, connect users who share similar tastes, provide custom radio streams, and much more.”You can tell by the “s” used in the word “personalized” that these folks are probably British. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. In fact, Britain’s socialist policies may have influenced Last.fm founders Felix Miller, Martin Stiksel and Richard Jones and their music-obsessed team of developers to attempt this social music revolution.
