In May 2006, FITA, the Federation Internationale De Tir a La Arc (International Archery Federation for Anglos out there) launched Archery.tv, a 24 hour World Wide Website streaming dedicated archery programming.

FITA serves to promote and regulate archery world-wide through its more than 140 Member Associations (National Federations or Associations), in conformity with the Olympic principles. It aims at framing and interpreting the FITA Rules and arranging for the organization of the World Championships and of other international competitions. FITA promotes archery through the media and the sponsors. Archery.tv is the newest media platform FITA is using to expand the reach of archery worldwide.

Fans will be able to view highlights and extended coverage of the World Cup and World Championships competitions.

Archery.tv will also feature interviews, documentary and much more. Not a lot of content yet, but the Archery.tv does promise to update and add more programming shortly. The potential is huge. Subcategories of archery include Outdoor, Indoor, Field, Ski, Flight and Clout archery too.

Que? What is Clout Archery? Well you’ll just have to surf on over to Archery.tv and see what you’re missing. One big caveat. Archery.tv plays only in Internet Explorer browser. Sorry, Mozilla fans.
