Design was originally the web-exclusive complement to a six-episode, PBS television series that originally aired in the summer of 2006. Frankly, the web videos were so well done, one needn’t bother watching the TV shows. The producers finally figured that out and have since converted the web material into to a seven-webisode podcast series. These shows are part of the larger eight-part series “E2: The Economies of Being Environmentally Conscious”. Design is the first part to be produced. The other seven are currently in production. Each Design webisode introduces the site surfer to “inventive leaders and technologies driving sustainable practice in buildings and in architecture. It is intriguing stuff when presented in the brief, 4-6 minute, podcast format. An added bonus is that Brad Pitt introduces each webisode. Design streams in QuickTime, Windows Media Player, and iPod format too. Surf on over to Design , and see what you’re missing.
