The bewildering folks at Despair.com can be counted on for two things—demotivation and occasional inspiration.
On the inspirational tip, Despair.com is now showcasing Mark Osborne’s Academy-Award® nominated short-film film “More”.
In fact, according to Despair.com’s press release, “Fans of Mark Osborne’s Academy-Award nominated short-film masterpiece MORE will be pleased to note that we’ve increased the resolution of our online version of the film. And what’s more, we’ve actually added 3 commentary tracks for the film- right off of our Special-Edition DVD itself!
Commentary tracks 1 and 2 are feature director Mark Osborne’s creative and technical commentary respectively. While laudable, they frankly pale in comparison to the entertainment value to be had listening to Despair.com co-founder Dr. E.L. Kersten’s running commentary on track 3.
His commentary is touted as “representing the executive’s penetrating perspective”. It just may also represent some of the greatest deadpan humor of this decade.
